At the time Sortec began to develop its first generation of rejection systems for the beverage industry the job was to transfer more or less uniform boxes, beverage crates or beverage packs like six packs. That was in the nineties and it was comparably easy.
Today there is an increasing variety of boxes and packs of different weights and sizes passing along the conveyor belt. On top of that is the need for gentle product handling by the divider. Sensitive logos or thin-walled corrugated cardboard packages, cartons or shrink packs must not by damaged by the sorter.
This sorting became more and more difficult. For several years now Sortec masters the sophisticated transfer of this challenging mix - even at variable speeds. Our sorting solutions are moving the containers and crates in such a manner that they are always delivered by the diverter exacltly to their scheduled position.
According to preset parameters our systems guarantee that a pack is conveyed with approprioate acceleration and suitable speed to the center of the parallel lane, without being twisted or touching the opposite guide rail.
The use of our systems significantly contributes to the performance of the whole plant. For example by reducing the work load of the palletizing robot.
Our sorting systems take care of common turning and positioning tasks. The preefeeding laner enables the robot to create more layers per hour. That is our understanding of advanced sorting, which makes the production flow more efficient.
Fragile cartons and sensitive products are moved with rolls to the next belt.
Dividing the product flow from two to three lanes. After dividing the products a control unit ensures the regular product discharge on each lane with a specific counting program.
The mechanics are mounted on a welded, stable U-tube bracket which can be swivelled. The foto shows black clamping plates. Above and below large black jaws that hold the U-tube bracket in an appropriately angled position.
This is the only way to ensure that a flat angular arrangement is set at high belt speed and an angle of up to 90 ° at slow belt speed. The arrangement can be adjusted.
Pushing the product to the middle and leaving on the middle of the pusher boards, stops unnecessary acceleration or delaying moments, which could result in unstable packs with a tendency to turn.
With the exception of a few custom solution, all frame arrangements are based on this model.
The structure can be individually adapted and is successfully tested in practical use for more than 20 years now.
